Get Up Nation®! My name is Ben Biddick. I’m the Creator and Host of the Get Up Nation® Show and Co-Author of Get Up: The Art of Perseverance with former Major League Baseball player Adam Greenberg. Recently I had the honor and privilege of speaking with Natalie Becher. Natalie Becher was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and has moved all over the world. She graduated from Brown University and holds an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Today, after living on three different continents, she has returned to Bangkok where she lives with her husband and two children. Natalie was taught Buddhist traditions as a child and has deepened her practice in recent years. Her latest book is called Krit Dreams of Dragon Fruit: A Story of Leaving and Finding Home. It’s a beautifully illustrated, Zen inspired picture book for children ages 4-8 about moving to a new home, making friends, and finding beauty wherever we are. Natalie wrote the book along with Emily France who was also recently a guest on the Get Up Nation® Show, and Samantha Woo illustrated it. In a time where COVID19 has us all dealing with new and unprecedented experiences that may cause us to feel far from home…while in our own home…I am so happy to welcome Natalie Becher to Get Up Nation® to discuss her insights into resilience! Natalie, welcome!
